Pink Eye Treatment

What Causes Pink Eye?
Pink eye is most commonly caused by viral infections (for example, the common cold). Other potential causes of pink eye include:

- Foreign objects
- Irritants (for example, contact lenses, dirt, and smoke)
- Tear duct blockages (in infants)
It is important to note that when pink eye is caused by bacteria or a virus, the infection is highly contagious. So, to be safe, you should dispose of any used eye makeup, wash your towels and pillowcases, and avoid touching your eyes. And if you wear contact lenses, you should throw away any used disposable contacts and disinfect any reusable ones.
