Dr. Peterson was born and raised in sunny Southern California. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at CSUSB; then, continued his education for an additional 2 years to complete research in an influenza lab and receive a Master’s degree in Biology. Dr. Peterson attended medical school at Touro University – Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, near Las Vegas, where he still continues to frequent almost monthly for wining and dining with his medical school friends.
Dr. Peterson completed his family medicine residency training at Adventist Health Glendale. After graduating, he joined the residency faculty spending a large portion of his time creating an addiction medicine curriculum, while also acting as Director of AHGL’s Chemical Dependency Program.
When he is not wining and dining in Las Vegas, Dr. Peterson enjoys the hikes, beaches, fitness facilities and night life that LA has to offer.
